Maura Isaacs
Born and raised in the Tampa Bay area, Maura obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Ave Maria University and her Juris Doctorate from Ave Maria School of Law in Southwest Florida. She began her legal career as a prosecutor, serving the citizens of Pinellas and Pasco counties for nearly ten years. Throughout her time at the State Attorney’s Office, Maura prosecuted an array of crimes including sexual battery, firearms offenses, child abuse, animal cruelty, money laundering, drug trafficking, and racketeering. She initially served in the Juvenile Delinquency Division, where her caseload primarily focused on habitual offenders and juvenile gang members. She was then promoted to a specialized unit in adult circuit court dedicated to assisting law enforcement with search warrants and long-term investigations into criminal street gangs, drug trafficking organizations, and violent felony offenders. Maura’s stint as a prosecutor fostered her commitment to justice and accountability, tempered by her unwavering sense of compassion.
Following the State Attorney’s Office, Maura served as Assistant Legal Counsel for the St. Petersburg Police Department, where she applied her prosecutorial experience to provide legal training and guidance to nearly 600 sworn personnel.
Prior to joining McNary Law, Maura transitioned to the realm of civil litigation at two prominent insurance defense firms in downtown Tampa, where she handled cases in both state and federal court. Her areas of practice included automobile negligence, negligent security, premises liability, wrongful death, sexual assault, and the defense of healthcare providers and government contractors working in correctional institutions throughout Florida and other states.
Maura is known for her diligence, integrity, and empathy. Her experience has made her adept at navigating high-stress, emotional situations with resilience and tenacity, making her a valuable asset to families seeking guidance through the complexities of marital and family law issues. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling with her husband and spending downtime with their rescue animals.
